I’ve been as irritated as anything about the RIAA’s tactics and all of the crap that they’re pulling out about filesharing and other such stuff. While reading Scott Andrew this morning, he said something that I’ve felt for quite a long time about the music industry…

Maybe the whole industry could stand a bit of downsizing. Reduce costs, help fight media consolidation, help niche markets thrive, produce good stuff instead of slickly packaged garbage aimed at radio. Then we’ll talk about how filesharing is hurting good people. You can start by getting a refund on that fancy website.
