My son, Matthew Taylor Parman, is due in about 3 weeks. I can’t believe how fast it’s all happened. His due date has just completely snuck up on me. “Ah, we have time…”, but apparently not.

I’m trying to remember life with a newborn. All I remember about last time is that it was miserable getting up in the middle of the night, and hating life when it was my turn to get up with the baby.

My daughter Julianna is super excited to meet her brother, “Baby Matthew”, that we’ve been talking about for the last eight months (well, actually only four months, because that was when we found out it was a boy; before it was just “The Baby”).

I’m trying to get as caught up on everything else in my life that I possibly can. I’ve been continuing to work on my not-so-distant redesign of Skyzyx.com, working to get Tarzan finished up, brainstorming about SimplePie’s new parsing core, and trying to do a kick-butt job with my new company (including sending website RFP’s to Happy Cog, 37 Signals, and Adaptive Path). I’m freaking tired.

Anyways, my wife wants me to go to the jacuzzi with her, so I’m gonna get out of here. If I’m quieter over the next few weeks, you know why. All-y’all keep blogging, and I’ll keep reading. It’ll help me stay focused during this tumultuous-yet-exciting time.
