Flailing Wildly
Too much straw, not enough camel.

Okay, some people are seriously retarded

by Ryan Parman • February 3, 2006 • Apple • 4 comments

I just came across a BBC article about man suing over an iPod ‘hearing risk’. OMFG. Are you kidding me? How stupid can some people be?

And it’s all a matter of money. Stupid lawsuits brought on by stupid lawyers are really dragging our legal system through the mud, not to mention using up my tax dollars to do it. Maybe Apple really should discontinue sales to stupid people…

This knob-head must have worked for the US Patent Office in a past life…

Maybe this guy should sue Marshall, Mesa-Boogie, JBL, EV and all the other big amplifier/speaker makers. I’ve destroyed my hearing after a decade of standing in front of 100watt guitar stacks, surely I’m not to blame!

Agreed. This guy would be a suitable contender for the Stella Awards (http://www.stellaawards.com/).

There has to be a “reasonable” limit on the dos and don’ts a manufacturer can be expected to stipulate in relation to their products. Like the guy driving his motor home; put’s it on cruise control and goes out back to fix a drink… sure, he crashed, but was this really b/c the manufacturer was negligent and didn’t explicitly say “don’t leave the wheel unattended” – or was it because he was a complete idiot? Looks to me like natural selection is failing us as a species, and the population of idiots is on the increase ;-)

Cheers, Bruce
